Hi, you don´t need to address the letter to a particular person or officer. Just address the letter to:

FBI CJIS Division ? Record Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306

Fill up all the boxes that pertain to your personal info like name, address, employer and address, SSS, hair and eye color. Also in the box for the purpose, make sure you put Canadian Immigration File #____________ .

Also in your letter it can help if you will mention a deadline for faster processing. But your deadline should be reasonable at least give them 4 weeks....goodluck

is it ok , if i just mention the purpose of immigration, rather than give the file no:

thanks

Hey joe,
i have a doubt , will the finger printing cards be sent to me, so that i can take finger prints from the local police here and then send it back to FBI with 18$.

is this the address (i mean West verginia) where ic ould get those cards, as it is mentioned on the wesite that the forms that FBI provide is only for personal review.

thanks

standard finger printing card in FBI page (in reply to: FBI CLEARANCE)
You can get the standard card from this site

http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/pdf/fpcardb.pdf

They are really good, send the money and the card, I did the finger printing myself, and within a month the report is back

Andyrags,

For now it is okay to just put Canadian Immigration. When you have the file number at the time the FBI results arrive, just add the file # to the box before sending to CIC.

Also, if you plan to put a deadline in your letter, you need to put that deadline date on the envelope too just below the mailing address of the FBI...say like Deadline: October XX, XXXX. FBI needs to see the deadline date on the envelope so they can expedite the processing.

I have read several posts here that FBI cards were sent to them. I also know that forms can be downloaded from FBI website. In my case however, I went to a private investigator. They have the required FBI card and they did my finger printing too. You can try calling FBI customer service at # 304-625-5590...they are really nice there...you can ask them about the forms and other concerns...goodluck

if you lived in the US for more than 6 months, you MUST have FBI clearances.
