Finally Guys....after a long long wait...the PP is in my hands and the visa is stamped on it....
here is my timeline:
Applied for SW category at Buffalo...I reside in Canada
Application sent: April 2003
AOR: June 2003
IA: March 2004
Medicals sent: May 2004
Additional docs: Sept. 2004
PP Request: August 15, 2005
PP sent to Buffalo: August 16, 2005...Reached there on Aug. 17, 2005
September 12, 2005...got my PP back...with the visa stamped on it...
I have to land before January 29, 2006....

What were the additional docs they requested from you ... it seems that was the cause of the long delay ... from May 2004 upto August 2005...
