Subject: Manila Applicants, any update?
Hi,

Just wanna ask those who applied in Manila if there is already progress or movement in their applications? It´s always nice to hear from you guys considering that we´re of the same visa post. I´ll be glad to know your situations.

Maple

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. At least I know that I´m not
alone who has having problems with my PR application
in Manila. I have almost the same timeline as yours;
maybe I still have to be more patient too.

Hi Maple,

This kind of forum helped me not to be too worried and impatient about my application. I realized that there were others who applied earlier than mine and havent get PR appoval yet. I believe the embassy here in Manila has a lot of backlog and thats what they´re currently dealing with right now.

You can also try visiting the embassy and have some inquiry regarding the status of your application or obtain your CAIPS Note.

hi Maple! well, I haven´t heard from my agency for the longest time.

I got my File Number June 2003 and I never heard anything from the consulate then.

Funny because the longer it takes, the more I become cold towards the idea of me migrating to Canada.

Does anyone know what AOR date/year the Canadian Embassy in Manila is processing right now? Citizenship and Immigration Canada has announced that they are increasing quotas for 2006, but will the distribution be fair, meaning, will they give more quota for missions with larger backlogs? Saw in another website that Manila is one of the slowest and that its visa allocation is only about 1/3 of the backlog as of 2004. On the other hand, some missions have larger allocations that pending applications. Any news from the Manila Embassy?

Anxious, Mango.
