Hi Greg,

Not sure if Sharon is around, but her guy did get there safely. He was a bit discombobulated for a few days with the time and climate change, bless his heart.

I hope he´s feeling better and they´re out exploring and having lots of fun!

not sure if I was bitching and moaning, but to each his own observation.

I would like to say we are having a wonderful week but that simply is not the case. between jetlag and culture shock, everything is a struggle. I am being pragmatic. While it is wonderful to spend time together, the goal is also to see if our relationship can be sustained face to face and long term. Immigration is part of the storyline but he has the ways and means to call Canada home without me. We are not facing a desperate ´sponsor or forget it´ scenario.

so the visit continues as do the questions and doubts.

Thanks for letting us know. I do hope that answers arrive as time together continues. Culture shock can be brutal, but can also be overcome.

Keep us posted. And, I never thought of your posts as bitching and moaning, for the record.

Heck, I guess we´re all bitching and moaning then...

Sharon, I´m rooting for you two. I´m sorry to hear things got off to a bit of a rocky start, but I hope it gets better from here. Though I didn´t really have a culture barrier to deal with with my guy, the first few visits definitely took some work. Face to face is a whole new level...

Thinking of you!
