Subject: I have not started the process yet... I need Help.
  Hello people,

I really want to know if I can start my process to immigrate to canada if a have a pending status in the USA. If I can, should I apply here or in my country of citizenship (I have a dual citizenship, Colombia and Argentina) How long does it take if I already have a work offer in canada?
Please advice,

Thanks a lot.

Following is the average time it takes to complete a Skilled Worker immigration application:

Bogota - 21 to 38 months
Buenos Aires - 10 to 32 months
Buffalo, USA - 18 to 34 months

If you have a permanent job offer that has been confirmed by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) you case MAY be finalized earlier.

Thanks kenny, Do you know or anyone, how it does affect my chances or the process by having a pending case in USA. (Political asylum) I have a work permit and I own my business but the political asylum does not look good here and that is why I am looking for an alternative in canada.

Please advice,

Thanks

You should talk to a consultant for your case. Seems complicated.

Kenny, is this timeframe from the date of AOR or when you actually send in the applications?
