Subject: Got PPR today, can anyone help?
  Hi,

My husband and me got PPR today after a long wait since medicals, mainly due to BG check. While the question is: we took the medical exam on Oct 5, 2004, so the expire date is exactly Oct 5, 2005. Although we sent the passports to Buffalo today, we are still worrying that we can´t get it back before the expire date. Shall we be requested to do the 2nd one again? thanks.

Ps: we are currently living in Canada...

I have a feeling that you will be given until Jan 2006 to land and medicals extended.

There was another case not to long ago like yours who got an extention.

CIC is aware, and if they did not ask you at the time of asking for your passports, most likely you are going to go clean until Jan 2006. Keep your fingers crossed to see the expiry date on the visa.

Please share that with us when it comes - as I´m in your boat. Waiting for BG check to get over and my Medicals expire in Oct last week.

The officer might extend your visa for a little bit longer after medicals , or might issue the visa before the expire date of your meds.

They will give you instructions if you need to do your medicals again for visa porpuses.

Good luck

No, they will not ask you to do another test. Do not worry about it.

Brieva, what passport dop you have now ? CIC imposed a quota on indians sometime ago. I wonder if they have finished the quota this year.

Congrats! Finally here is some good news from Buffalo!

Don´t worry about medical. You will know once the passports come back. :)
