update on an old thread.

recent PR (7 years) was convicted of killing a woman in a street race with his friend. Sentencing was 2 years in jail and deportation. He has been fighting the deportation order saying it will hurt his family. 3 courts have now upheld the deportation order.

this story is a big deal around here... especially in the Vancouver area where the crime took place because the courts have finally started sending out a message that if you want to call Canada home, you need to live by the law - or go home.

Majority of Canadians are very pleased with this result.

Well in that case I agree too.. We all want to have a safe place to live, wherever.

What if he were a citizen? Would they still deport him? That is an interesting scenario..

no, if you are Canadian citizen, where can you be deported?

Ok, lessons for everybody,
1, don´t do any crime, once you get charge more than half year even condition sentence, you gone.

2. once you are eligiable for Canadian citizen, just apply it ASAP.

The guy was not even remorseful after the poor woman was killed. He said sorry after two years of silence. I think he apologized to the family just before he got the boot, that is before he took the plane back to India. ?

Good riddance!
