Subject: Proof of funds to Immigration Officer ??
  Hello!
I received an immigrant visa, and flying to Toronto next month.
Since my last "proof of funds" request, I transfered my money to Canadian bank into saving account, that was opened for my name.

Will I have to show the proof of funds again during the the final emmigration procedure?

If so, will it be satisfactory to show the evidence from my saving account?

With Regards,
Canaden

Yes, you may be asked to produce proof of funds at arrival (first time). Be prepared to show the bank account statement. Make sure it is most recent.

Yes, an In Canada bank account is sufficient proof of relavant funds.

The Immigration Officer will ask you how much money you are bringing into the country. You may not need to show proof of funds depending on the Immigration Officer. I was not asked to show my money when I landed in Toronto.

How do you able to open account in Canadian Bank without being immigrated to Canada?

Please let me know. I want to do the same before coming to Canada so I can show my proof of funds in Canadian Bank.

Thanks.

Immediately send the proof of fund on your name to your visa office. A joint account of a dependent with a non-applicant will definitely work as unencumbered fund. They don´t cancel the application, if you send them the proof as soon as possible.

Sorry typo:
A joint account of a dependent with a non-applicant is definitely NOT unencumbered fund.

Ger, if your statement is true (which I believe it is) then the application will be returned. Representation has nothing to do with it. Insufficient unencumbered funds is the issue.

Sharon, probably it depends on the visa office. I have seen in certain EU countries, for several people, the visa office every time asking to refill incomplete forms. Here, medical forms are sent by visa office, but in few countries people get the forms from doctors or anywhere.

As the file has not been created, probably if Meera manages to send the proof, the visa officer could accept it. If not, then defintely either the documents will be returned, or she will be asked for the proof during the processing, or the apllication will be refused (because she has provided the document which can not satisfy the requirement..but I don´t think that will happen, the officers are not that rude and Canada needs more people. definitely Canada prefers the people who have already experienced the "life" in western or competent countries rather than those jumping from third world directly.)

absolutely true but at this stage, our friend has a money problem in the eyes of CIC that will need to be resolved and they will now probably have to make an extra effort to show that their settlement funds are not borrowed.
