Ok, here is the situation...
I am an in-Canada applicant...I received my PR couple days ago...now I am battling with time.
I need to finalize my landing before Oct. 14...for some personal reasons...but at the same time I have to apply for a US Visa..since my Visa has expired a while ago.
Usually my US visa takes about 3 weeks to get cleared since it has to run in the US Immigration computers for background checks as well...and I really have no time to wait for all that to be cleared and receive my visa...since I cannot also get an appointment at the consulate in the next couple weeks (it´s all booked up)..
so my question is...is it advisable to approach the US border without a visa in order to finalize the process? can you help me on this issue please? I am planning to land in NB I mean it´s the closest border for me.
Thank you...hope you can help

(in reply to: Landing) Yes, you can approach the US side without a visa. At which you will be asked to return to Canada and you do your landed immigrant paper-work.
Explain your reason in advance to a US Immigration officer so that they don´t stamp refused entry on your passport.
