I have not ordered my CAIPS yet was wondering if I need to order one. I emailed Buffalo and got a reply that my application is in progress. Thier email did not said anything about BG check. My e-client shows "Medical result have been recieved" for the last 1 month. But no PPR yet. I have been going through the threads and saw postings stating replies from Buffalo that "BG check in progress -- takes 6-9 months".
If your BG is in process and has not yet been completed do they mention in thier replies? I am wondering why my application is stuck?
my timeline:
AOR: April 2004
Medicals Sent: Jan 2005
Papers & ROLF: Jan 2005
PPR.....?

Yes,
Your BG checks are in progress. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but wait. We all are in same situation. I have about the same time-line. My last document (ROLF) was submitted and cashed in Jan 2005.
I´m waiting to get BG check over,

Whats the use of ordering CAIPS if I get the same info that BG check is in process. I guess thats the only think that is holding the process.
Starwars: whats your thoughts about it?
SG1: Well I have been in the club for a long time, wish thier was no such club....

I think background check depend upon the country you are from.May I ask Zee and satrwars about their countries.

Zee;
In your case the BG check is over. Once they update the website to medical received, that mean the its done. You will receive the PPR as soon as a week after the update on website or it might go well beyond 2 months.

My e-client status was changed to "Medical received" on July 4th, 2005 but I still have not yet received the PPR request. If my BG check is over, what is causing the delay?

my e-lient also was updated on the same date you mentioned and i have not got my PP request yet. Looks like the visa officer handling both our cases are same.

Hello Zee and JC:
I´m originally from India.
My main aim at ordering CAIPS is to find when the BG checks were initiated. CIC tells it will take 6-9 months but does not tell from what date? From the date they sent the fax or some date before that..
Also to make sure all documents I sent are with CIC. Ottawa Medicals had never sent them my medical results, and I lost about 3 months on that confusion.

Calvin: My e-client was updated to Medical Recieved about a month back and still no luck with PPR....
Starwars: I had a couple of email back and forth from CIC Buffalo, they told me that all papers have been recieved by thier office and no papers are pending as of last month when I emailed them last. I guess the only thing I will know from CAIPS is when my BG Check was started. I guess their wont be any other information as they have already confirmed that they have recieved eyerything else.
