| Subject: Best place to live- Ontario or Manitoba ? |

Hi Forumers,
I have been exploring the possiblity of getting relations in Canada help me settle pending my PR-application. Is most like that I would be able to get some jobs after taking up some udgrading courses either in Manitoba or Ontario. Would be most grateful if someone, possibly Sharon could share her experiences in terms of the advantages and disadvantages in both States. How possibly could one compare a city such as Guelph in Ontario with Winnipeg in Manitoba?

the best place to live in Canada is Vancouver Island or West Coast like Vancouver in B.C!
not because I am from Nanaimo, which don´t obviously grow up here, it´s really nice here.
When I travel outside of my town, people asked me where am I from, i never told them I am from Asia, instead, Nanaimo B.C.
anyway, if you read here quite often, you know I god damn love my town Nanaimo way better than my hard-core communist police state cave where I actually grow up.
My parents couldn´t believe that just 3 years, I was totally brain washed in Canada.

ACCORDING TO ME,ONTARIO IS THE BETTER PLACE TO RESIDE BECAUSE HERE U CAN GET THE JOB EASILY DUE TO INDUSTRIALISATION.........WHEREAS IN MANITOBA,THERE ARE FARM JOBS ONLY.

Thanks D-bay and sharon. Actually, my background is related to Agriculture and to be very specific, I have an option between Guelph and Winnipeg as cities to live in. So will possibly appreciate direct comparisms if anyone has the experience.

I´m partial to Ontario, but I was born and raised here.. about 20 minutes from Guelph. I think you´d find the winters in Manitoba a little harsher than Ontario.
Whatever you decide, just don´t come to Canada calling them "States", they´re provinces ;)
And, I don´t think the above poster was our ´Sharon´. Wrong IP number and she´s too articulate to TYPE OBNOXIOUSLY IN CAPS, LOL.

That was the first thing I did too...to check the IP address....I also couldn´t believe the same post came from the "Sharon" of this forum. =)
Anyway....Winnipeg will be my landing city if will be given a chance...no serious reason really...a result of a complicated story. However, London also attracts me.
Anonymous, if you can get a job from both cities, the best thing to do is compare the job, the salary and relate it to the cost of living of that city...I know Winnipeg has low cost of living...no idea about Guelph. Winter and mosquitoes are really brutal in Winnipeg though (accdg to several posts)...whatever you decide...goodluck... =)
