I was sponsored to Canada as a PR in the family class back in 96 as I was married to a Canadian. When we separated in 99 I returned back to Australia about 1 year later and abandoned Canada as my country of residence. I´m getting married next month to my Canadian Fiancee. We meet online a year ago and she has been to Australia twice too see me. I am going to spend 5 weeks with her over christmas. We are submitting the application for a family class sponsorship next month and I plan to stay in Australia until its completed. ( I will visit canada once or twice while I wait ) Will being a former PR speed up my application or hinder it? The Application will be sent to Mississauga and then processed by the Sydney Consulate. I´m just scared that being a former sponsored resident, they will give me a hard time!

(in reply to: Former PR re-applying 9 years later) I forgot to add that we have plenty of evidence to prove our love and relationship. We have phone bills for the last 9 months that show we talk every day for an hour or 2. Photos and copies of plane tickets from her 2 trips here and after the wedding we will have more photo´s with our family´s etc..

your last application will neither have any positive nor negative impact on new application. Canada is a free country you can come and go as you wish
