| Subject: How to get police clearance in Canada ? |
Hi,
I am in Canada(ontario) and would like to get police clearance certificate ? can anybody please tell me what´s the procedure to get that ?...Do I need to get my finger-prints ?
Please advice.

I found this information from google. The link in the informaton will take you to the RCMP website for further information.
The RCMP will send the police clearance certificate directly to CIC.
Relevant document - RCMP clearance.
Applications should be made to:
RCMP/GRC
Identification Services/Service de l?Identification
1200 Vanier Parkway
Ottawa, Ontario
Canada K1A 0R2
Applicants must submit:
1. Completed Fingerprints form (from a recognized fingerprinting authority
2. Letter stating
a) Reason for the clearance request (immigration)
b) Address for the delivery of the RCMP clearance
Note: Applicants residing in Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa, should contact their local RCMP office to obtain the fingerprints. Further instructions can be found at the following URL: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/crimrec/finger2_e.htm#Obtain

Well in Downtown toronto .u fill out a form.....at head quaters...dont remember the location but somewhere near Yonge....and college...but yeah...u fill out a form pay them 15$ or somehtingand then they mail u back

Thanks for the info..I just visited the website that "One love" has given..
It says:
"If you are IN CANADA: you must have your fingerprints taken on form C-216C at your local police station or private accredited fingerprinting agency. Depending on the police jurisdiction, a fee may be required.
"
I am in Kitchener, can anybody please tell me where is my local police station or should I dial 911 to get that info ?
And How much time does it take to get fingerPrints and after that how many days it takes to get the "police clearance certificate" to CIC ??
