Subject: CHECK SETTLEMENT FUNDS |
Will the Immigration be requesting for an update of settlement funds after they issue the PPR? Or when are the times they need to check the funds update?

(in reply to: CHECK SETTLEMENT FUNDS) They may ask for proof when you land in Canada.

(in reply to: CHECK SETTLEMENT FUNDS) I´ve been told they can ask for proof of funds at anytime during the process.

(in reply to: CHECK SETTLEMENT FUNDS) Usually they dont ask for funds once they have asked for the PP unless they become suspicious of any fraudulent activities... but again they have the right to ask for documents anytime...
Second things... when you enter Canada... you ahve to show that you ahve the money on you.. or that the settlement funds have already been transfered into Canada. Now this is a bit tricky as its a bit difficult to open an account when you are not present in Canada.
Anyways... the immigration officer has the right to ask for the money anytime until you enter the country. Once you are in you can do whatever you want.
