Subject: What other country
Dude.. Canada CIC is it´s own mind.. The CIC is working at its pace, its own rules and reminds me of a govt. agency in a third world country. Most applicants on this forum do, if not let me remind them of a scene in a State Bank or Regional Passport Office or Drivers Licence office...

8:30 a.m. (Open shop, settle down, warm up seat)
8:45 - 9:15 a.m (Morning tea, read morning paper, internet)
9:15 - 11:45 (dust files - total productive time 1:00 Hr)
11:45 - 12:00 (chat up with friends - what to do for lunch)
12:00 - 1:00 (lunch time)
1:00 - 1:30 (settle down after lunch, re-warm the seat)
1:45 - 2:15 (after lunch tea)
2:15 - 4:00 (dust some more files, break up for meeting)
4:00 - 4:30 (evening tea)
4:30 - 5:15 (dust some more files, actually work something)
5:15 - 5:30 (pack up, close files)
5:30 - Shop closed.

What other countries offer immigration? What are their time-lines?
Which are other that give a timely information and status?

CIC is really going to run my bills up for all the stress I´m going through - mental peace, facial break-outs.. aaaaahhh

But CIC offices closes at 4:30pm, I would think that by 3:30 they would be having tea, so that they can start dusting some files at about 4:00 and start packing up at 4:15 no time to do actual work, after 3:30 after all how do you decide what you are having for dinner, if you don´t start planning from 3:30

I believe it is so everywhere. and look at CHC NEW DELHI, India. The worst. its sitting on all the passports these days.Disgusting!!

The wait is very depressing for all of us, no matter what category and how many months. it is very difficult to be patient when u r tired waiting actually.

I agree with you Nancy.. I read that CHC Delhi has taken and kept passports for over 3 months.. that is simply unbelievable. What is someone decided to take a holiday abroad?

There was another guy who is going to miss an entire semester waiting for passport to come back.

CIC should hire more people if they think they cannot complete these applications. For they are charging us applicants through our noses for applications - about US$ 1500 each with landing fees.

Now there is no way they can justify the delay and say they could not because they donot have resources.

The things that are worth having never come easy. Patience is a virtue my friend. If you don´t like the way things work in Canada, then change them once you become Canadian. Thats the beauty of this country. You´ll learn in time. Until then get in line.
