CIC will start posting application status updates when it revises its site, according to this story:

I think it´s just a proposal, whether CIC will do something or wanna change anything all depends on funding i guess

It´s not just a proposal - From the sounds of it, the decision to revamp the site has already been taken.

They intend on developing a work plan for the site by Winter 2006. So they will probably begin working on it in 2007. For now we´ll have to be content with the ever-reliable, frequently-updated, technological wonder of the 21st century - E-CAS !!
