Hi Friends!
Im all set to marry my Girl friend this saturday at local religious center and they say that they wont give any marriage certificate, or any thing authenticating the marriage and seems i have to register it with the county office and it would take atleast 9-12 weeks to get the certificate and my interview is due in about 8 weeks, what do i do now??
help me out!

I´m not sure how it works there, but here in Ontario Canada, they issue a "Record of Marriage" with a serial number, then with that we have to apply for the actual certificate which takes a few months to get in.
There has to be SOMETHING you take to the county office to register the marriage, I mean, you can´t just waltz in there and say "Hey, we just got married, can we apply for a marriage certificate?" LOL.

Hey Chelle did you send in your record of marriage with your application or have you actually received your certificate? We got married in June and nada.. so we sent the record..
