you have an immigration interview for canada in detroit. You didn?t get the visa to go to USA.
Question:
In the first place, how has detroit been assigned as your place of interview? It does not appear that applicants of one country are called for interview to another country normally?
So what;s the scene here?

It´s not as uncommon as you might think. One person I know who faced the same situation wrote to the immigration authorities explaining the situation and asked for the file to be moved to another centre. Took longer for the file to be processed of course, but he did get through in the end.

Hi K_hudda,

You have no choice but to try and get the visitor visa of USA. If you can not get it then you will have to inform the Canadian consulate in Detroit that you are unable to attend the interview and request them to transfer your file to your country of citizenship.

Transfer your file to the country where you live, this is the ONLY AVAILABLE solution. No other choice. And you have to do it fast.

option 1:transfer your case to your homecountry(but another new long waitting line)

option 2: write a letter to explaine, u can not go for the interview cause of blar blar blar.. ...and aks the officer to give your mark based on what he/she evaluated.(

i have a freind who got the same situation as you, she didn´t ask for the file transfer, and just write a letter to the officer also updat her current document as well//(the master degree, employer´s new letter, send these to detroit together.

then, after a long waiting time, she got pass. So nobody knows exactlly how many mark will the office give you. but one thing for sure, if you can not go to the interview, the office will give you a mark based on his/her personal evaluation finally anyway. u may pass, u may not, it´s all lucky in this case.

find a good lawyer to discuss your case.

Hi k-hudda,

I think re-applying for the US Visa is worth a try. If it fails again, then writing a very apologetic but grateful letter to CIC is the second best option. Since there´s already a precedent in the case of Christie´s friend, you might want to give it a try.

Explain the Visa denial and your desire to be assessed based on your documentations (if that´s what you prefer). Also, like what Christie´s friend did, include updated documents that can boost your application.

Technically, your US Visa is not CIC´s problem. They specifically mentioned it that getting a visa is the applicant´s responsibility. However, I see nothing wrong in an honest communication with CIC...these officers are human and they have the full discretion on your case...then couple your decision with a really heartfelt prayer....goodluck on your decision and action...
