Subject: IA and "start processing application" E-Client
  Guys,
I got some quetions, hope some of you could probably answer or throw some comments on.

1. For those who know and had checked their e-client status of their case, before getting the IA, it says something like ´start processing your case on .......date". What exactly that date refers to?

2. When we talk about an avg or 8 to 9 months from application date, does that mean the date when they received the application? or the date that shows in the e-client explained above?

3. I heard freqently checking the e-client status could cause delays in your case processing. I´m wondering how true is that?

4. When the IA is issued but not received to the applicant, does the status of e-client changes that would reflect an IA has been issued/sent? or still say the same thing as ´in process´?

I´ll appreciate your input on the above questions.

Thanks.

e-client inquires have no influence on your processing time. it is an immigration myth.

e-client is a broken system. CIC paid far too much money for something that is always out of date, vague and generally useless. Do not rely on e-client to give you up to date information. posters on this forum continually discuss this subject and nothing ever changes (in terms of accuracy, clear information and professional service)

1. The date they created your file.

2. Date mentioned in (1).

3. Checking e-cas has nothing to do with processing.

4. If you have applied in Buffalo, it may change to medicals recieved at the point of PP request. It may not change at all - even after you complete your landing.

Still not clear on the date part. Should the date we consider be the one that shows up in e-client status where it says ´we started processing your case on ..." ?

(or)

The date when you´re file is created upon receiving and encashing the fee. ?

thanks.
