Interview at LA (in reply to: Interview at LA)
We had our interview at LA a few months back.Nothing to be worried. Beware, there are no parking space near the Consulate. We atayed in Quality Inn, which was very close and took a cab for $8.Still better, book room in a Hotel, from where you can walk.If calling for taxi, call it atleast one hour in Advance. If you reach the embassy early, you can be ahead in the queue. We reached there by 8.30am and we were called as the second family to be interviewd.
Go formally dressed, including your wife. Keep all your original documents/certificates arranged neatly. List all the documents you are submitting and arrange them in that same order. Try to keep a paper before every document or atleast a Post-it writing the name of the document, Eg:****´s Degree Certificate. so that the officer will know what to expect in the Pile of documents you are submitting.
In case you have not written IELTS, thinking that just because you are in USA, it is not needed, either write it or tell the officer what steps you have taken to clear the tests(like already registered).Take an employment letter from your employer, just a boafide employee letter will do.If possible, they can mention your duties and salry too.

Take Bank statements for six months.

Take your salary slips for several months.

Keep your W2 forms. If needed you can produce them.
Of course your and your family members´ original passports and visa papers.Keep a copy of the passports and visa papers.Take everyone´s Birth certificates and if you are married, your marriage certificate.Take a copy of the interview letter and keep it on top of all your documents. If you keep a seperate file, keeping all the copies of your original documents , if the officer wants any copies, you can give immediately.
Note the initials of the officer signing your letter and mention it in brackets along with your file name in any future correspondence with the consulate. In that way, your documents will go the right person at the earliest.
If there is any change in your application,( like change of address, or the height of your child, or if you have got a new passport or if any information is m,entioned wrongly, by the consulate in any correspondence), attach a seperate sheet, mentioning the old or incorrect information and the new information, side by side.

Take all your original educational certificates and your wife´s.
If you have got any appreciation letters, that also you can take .
Try to apply for jobs in Canada. If you receive any replies, you can keep print outs to prove, that you are taking efforts to find a job in Canada.
Try to know something about Canada.
There is nothing to be worried or feared.
Go in time.
Do not pin any documents. Neatly arrange them.Proper submission submission of documents will do half of the job.
You can even take a Money order or cashier´s check for your landing fees.If they accept it, you can submit it on the interview day itself. If not, you can bring it back and cancel at anytime. This way, if everything is ok, they need not delay further process.
Keep copies of police certificates for your reference. You will have to submit the originals.
All the Best.In case of any other doubts Email me.

(My hand are aching by typing this long letter!!!!!!!)
