Hi,
My file # is updated in the cases ready for visa issuance list at Detroit. So I guess my immigration process is in the final inning!
But right now, my wife is not in US, and I donot have her passport with me. So can I send just my PP and get the VISA stamped, and have hers stamped on a later date?
Time line:
Applied in Dec 03
IA June 04 (interview reqd)
File transferred to Deroit in Feb 05
Interview in Aug 05
PP request updated in website Sep 05

when did you do your medicals.......you may communicate with consulate and they will guide you properly.

I did my meicals in June, soon after got my interview letter. IT takes 8-10 weeks for the results to be updated.
I have made a few postings about my interview experience under subject "Detroit interview". It should in mid August. It will be a straight forward interview; they will ask about your job and how it will fit into the Canadian system/economy. Language skills will also be assessed (I didnot take IELTS).
I believe only Detroit has a website with the application status. For the rest of the offices, I believe you have to wait till they send a letter to you.

now a days interview are very much tuff,because of quota system they even refused one of my friend was refused.good luck.
