Hi Friends,
I have applied from New Delhi, India.
I have sent my passport along with my wife?s passport
for stamping after medical on June 20th, 2005.
I got receipt of Landing fees in Next month but
still i m waiting for passports with visa.
Its really very very frustrating. I am not even able to take any kind of decision.
I have sent a Fax also but no reply at all.
Has anyone got passport stamped from Delhi after June 2005 ?
Pls share your experiences.

dearnir,
i think after march those medicals had done.visa are realeased in 2006(jan).it all happen due to quota system .year 2005 quota is finished .i heard this from so many peoples.

Nir cud u please share ur timeline. And yes, even I have heard that the quota for 2005 is over. So now yr visa wud be issued in 2006.

Ya, Here is my timeline.
File process started Aug 2001.
Medical received May 2005
Medical completed and passports sent June 2005
And ya, about this quota, I have never heard anything about quota.
And 3 of my friends have got visa in June 2005, after they complete medical in May 2005.
So I am really not getting anything for this. And still we are just assuming that
quota is over, If someone has proof then we can believe this. Has someone got anything stating
that quota is over and now visa will be issued in Jan 2006 ?
Situation is really frustrating now.

Thanks for the timeline Nir. Regarding quota - that´s what most applicants from Delhi r talking about. As u have mentioned your friends got it in June 2005. But the problem is post June. After that people have not been able to get their visas. I am sure there is a limit to how many visas can be issued to a particular country. I know this is frustrating but nothing can be done about it. Guess all u can do right now is either wait or get more info. Why don´t u fax them a query - I think they´ll respond. That will clear any doubts.

I have already sent a Fax, but i dont think they reply any of fax for such inquiry.
If really they wont issue visa before Jan 2006 then I think i will have to ask them to return me my passports as I have to Travel to US. So i think I will send a Fax requesting to return my passport. Will it be OK or it will affect any processing ? Because even in Jan also we cannot be sure that we will get it 100%.
What do u say ?

Nir,
Can´t comment on what will happen in case u ask for yr passports without the stamping. Why don´t u log in to canadiandesi.com and ask their immigration expert, Mr. Massood Joomratty. He wud be in a position to tell u if it wud have an impact on your case.

Hope u can understand my situation that I am also very much worried what will happen if i ask for passports like this.
Anyways, Will let u know here once i get some answer from that person.
