My 72 yr old dad is visiting me, a permanent resident in canada. He lives alone in chennai, India and has some chronic medical problems too.I have read on this forum that one can get permanent
residence for his parent inside canada
on humanitarian grounds. Can anyone tell me if I can file for PR for my dad in canada in his situation and what are the chances of it
being a success?

You can file whenever you like. It´s hard to get.
