Subject: TO ISSABELLA AND OTHERS-CAIPS URGENT
  hello all.,
Just a quick update on my case.I did not receive my CAIPS for last 50 days, so i got in touch ottawa and i got my CAIPS yeterday.Following are the results.
PSDEC 1 22/03/2005
BDEC 22/04/2005
OREQ 1 29/06/2005
SELDEC 4 22/03/2005
MEDDEC 1 29/06/2005
FINDEC 0
BFD to RO6 on 31-10-2005
IN another page SEC CRIM was mentioned and there is a number 1 below CRIM. below SEC it was left blank just like BDEC, but no date was given.
The one thing which is shocking for me was that i paid my RPRF ($975)at the time of initial application and they have encashed the amount from CIC , buffalo. I have a recipt from CIC for this and a copy of my money order. During my Initial assessment, they asked me to pay RPRF and i have enclosed both the above receipts to show that i already paid my RPRF.But in my CAIPS they have mentioned as follows in page 2 as RPRF DEFERRED .NOT REPRESENTED.And after a paragraph or so they have mentioned as follows
"THE CAIPS NOTES AND LANDING FEE INDICATE THAT THE RPRF WASN´T PAID.HOWEVER $975 WAS COLLECTED ON 21 JULY 2004 , ACCORDING TO THE RECEIPT".
below this the initials of visa officer was there dated 29 june 2005. No further information was mentioned about RPRF. So i do not know whether these guys have the RPRF or they lost it . I need to find about it and if they have lost it, god damn it, i have to pay 1000 dollars again.
Can you guys help me figure out what this all means. do they have the RPRF or not. Secondly what does FINDEC means?? Thirdly what does the code 4 for SELDEC indicates?? Also there is no seperate code as SDEC in my CAIPS.I do not know why??
I hope the experts here will help me out.And thanks again for issabella for giving timely info about ottawa .
Boss.

hey anonymous,
Please spend some time and browse all the posts in this forum and get the details or use search engine. I did that and got the details. Lets not post the same details over and over again. If you want start a seperate thread about this but i still think you have to spend sometime browsing the posts in forum rather than being lazy and asking things just like that.

BOSS:

I did a bit of research on caips codes in the past. I strongly believe, your case is almost done and it is just waiting for final review. With 99.9% certainity I can tell you that a final decision on your application will be taken on 31-10-2005.

So hang on there just for one more month.

Best wishes.

Kool.,
Can you elaborate a bit about the stuff on RPRF found in my CAIPS. Did they receive and encash my RPRF or not. Iam really worried about it, as if they havent, i have to pay 1000 dollars extra. Even though i enclosed copy of receipt from CIC and my moneyorder copy for RPRF, i do not understand why CIC mentions like that in my CAIPS file.
I have also e-mailed our friend sachdhr from inmmigration forum regarding this. As well as CIC buffalo.
Thanks a lot for your insights and looking forward for your response.

This is some thing weird. But I think it is their internal problem - if $975 was collected on July 24, what for it was?

You have already done the right thing by bringing this into CIC´s notice. So, keep your head cool, they will sort it out and it should not be a problem.

So issabella,
What does FINDEC stands for and what does the number 4 of SELDEC means.
do you guys think , still i need to fax the CIC about this RPRF details. I had just send them an e-mail to buffalo and want to wait till tuesday before i fax them about this.
By the way i do not believe that my case will be finalized on oct 31. We have seen so many cases where nothing came for people even after bring forward date, and there was a new BFD date.
Also from CAIPS i found out that the immigration officer has just alloted 10 points for language proficiency instead of 16. This reduced my points from 71 to 67 and its just a borderline case, now because of that. i think if you write IELTS they give full points , if not they just give moderate proficiency points for read, speak and listen. cant believe the amount of info i got from CAIPS.

It´s looking like the end of the road for you Boss. I dont think you should worry about the money. You have the proof that you paid the money so I dont think its a problem. Hopefully they will get around to sending your PPR by the end of Oct. Keep us posted.

So what are the clues, you guys think its indicating that the process is getting over??
Also kool and issabell, i would just like to know whether your FINDEC is also "0" in your caips.

* Regarding the receipt from CIC, Buffalo, in my case I didn´t get a receipt too. If you purchased the DD/Cheque from your financial institution they would help you out if they deny they didn´t get the DD.

* "SELDEC" - 4 means Selection Decision is waived. I think this might be the reason you were not required to give a SDEC.

* FINDEC is final decision

* OREQ is other requirements ---1 means passed.

* (Just to look at some other points in the CAIPS) Do you see FPA, FPC, FPE or 999 codes? which means Fee paid abroad, fee paid in Canada, Fee paid at port of entry and 99 is none of the above. (This is usually available in PR determinations, but still if you see anything like this, that must be a sign)

Keep in mind, BDEC and SDEC both means Security decisions, I really don´t have any idea why they have two terms for the same.

But BDEC determinations are: 1 -passed, 2- Omitted (for BDEC for 18 years or under)

* SDEC - 2 is omitted.

I don´t know whether any of the above was helpful to you, but I could tell only whatever tiny info I know.
