Subject: TO ISSABELLA-CAIPS URGENT-PART 2
  Hi mountains,
I looked at my CAIPS and found the following
COST RECOVERY CODE: FPA
RPRF: LFA
Eventhough the term SDEC is not there in my CAIPS, on page 5 they have mentioned that SECURITY DECISION term and left it blank and it was initiated on 22/04/2005.
Does this mean do they have my RPRF? And does SELDEc have any relationship with security decision.
Thanks,

For non-immigrant applicant category CAIPS codes,
In NON-IMMIGRANT COST RECOVERY codes: (work, student visas)
FPA means Fee paid abroad.
As we are talking about your Permanent residence fee CAIPS code I would not consider FPA at all. But I wouldn´t keep this unnoticed because FPA is considered in Immigrant cost recovery too. I don´t know why CAIPS codes are so much mixed.

However, I we have LFA, which must be noted here,
According to Permanent resident determination CAIPS codes,
In RIGHT FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE codes:
LFA stands for Paid abroad..I am damn sure they have received your receipt.

Let me explain you something:
SELDEC is Selection decision
BDEC Security decision,
MEDDEC is medical decision
OREQ is other requirements
FINDEC is final decision
SDEC is security decision (surprisingly BDEC is also same)
CDEC is criminal decision

So SELDEC is selection decision. My thinking is this is done during IA, seems 4 is waived, did you get your interview waived??) If so, I think thats the one.

I don´t know about SECURITY DECISION that you specified, my guess is this is pending.

If you need any other discussion on this, I will be more than happy to do it.

Also if you don´t understand any code please let me know.

(correction)
.
.
.
(10th line)
"LFA stands for Paid abroad..I am damn sure they have received your receipt".

Correct this to "LFA stands for Paid abroad..I am damn sure they have received your fee of 975 CAD and entered in the database as RPRF received"
.
..

Hi,
Boss, I have security decision on page 5 as "1" 20/4/2005.
Now the hitch: there is a huge confusion between SECURITY DECISION (PAGE 5), BDEC, SEC and CRIM. I am really confused about how this works, how they are related, and how to interpreting them in caips.
My Status
SECURITY DECISION 1 20/4/2005
BDEC 20/4/2005
SEC CRIM are balnk.
BFD 10/10/2005

I saw a caips codification kit long time back which implied
SECURITY DECISION (BDEC).
IS SECURITY DECISION same as BDEC????

Boss,

I hadnt read alot of your part 1, so there is what I have when I compared my caips to yours.

The point system was pretty screwed up, I had estimated alot of points for my work experience but I got half the no there. They dont count for coop work experience and related work exp. before for main degree, in my case bachelors. So all that was taken as zero.

Dont worry about your fees, they are taken care off.

And dont try to initiate any submission of extra englsih documents at this stage for more points. It may delay the case. As long as your cleared off everything you should be good

(For BOSS about RPRF, Boss I am sure LFA is fee paid abroad man as per PR determination as FPA is fee paid abroad for non-immigrant appln., don´t worry abt this)

ISSABELLA

Very good question, I would be very happy if people can comment more on this.

Yes, BDEC and SDEC are both security decisions as far as I know.

I think CRIM will be cleared on BFD day by the immigration officer once he goes thro´ the PCC. (as people keep saying PCC is just a formality, Imm. officers don´t care about this, I think that is stupid to think that way, how come PCC is formality??)

I wouldn´t worry about SEC being blank which means it is still IN PROCESS, because it is 1 in the end. huh,,,,let me stop these speculations.
