Subject: Should I worry?
I saw many people with May/June 05 (IA Apr/May 05) Medicals have got their e-client changed to "medicals recd". I got my medicals done in June 05 but e-client is same old same old "In progress".

Should I worry?

It is taking about 2 months for Ottawa to process medical´s, before forwarding the results to Buffalo.

Buffalo, on the other hand is sitting on them as well.

My medicals were sent to Ottawa in July and the e-client status still shows "In Progress", although my medicals have already been sent to Buffalo a month ago.

I would say, just sit back and relax, just as folks in Buffalo are. There is isn´t much we can do about it. But one thing for sure, they will process your app.

If this is keeping you awake at night´s, then go ahead and request for your CAIPS.

Plus, it may be that they only post "medicals received" after they have done something more--perhaps some element of the background check. And the time that takes could depend upon the countries you have lived in. Besides, some people get their PPR without "medicals received" ever appearing on e-cas (there´s one with recent posts on the British Expats blog). Basically, we have little choice but to sit in the dark. But don´t give up hope.
