Hi!
I am new to this forum. I am canadian citizen trying to sponsor a husband from Moldova. Was wondering if anyone had / is sponsoring a spouse from Moldova/Romania. How long does it takes to get a visa?
Just some info:
Sponsorship app was approved by CIC, Mississauga office on July 20/04.
he receivedn a letter from canadian emabassy in Bucharest on July 27th.
Would appreciate any info.

Wait for a while, it is still to early...
it takes time for them to preocess your immigration papers they are quite slow

Thanks for your msg. I was just wondering if you were in a similar situation? Did you sponsor someone through the Bucharest office. I am just trying to establish some time frames here. this waiting period is driving me crazy by now. the last letter said that my husband received said that they will revew his applications in the upcoming weeks. It has been more than a month since that letter, and no new info on his case.
Any thoughts?

yes it is very hard to wait. I would suggest you plan for a wait of 6-9 months. If it is sooner, you will have a good reason for a party. Good luck to you.

Thanks for your post. we have been waiting for 3 months now, that is counting the day we maild our app´s to CIC in Mississauga. You are right - it will be the reason to party if he gets the visa before Christmas. I really want to have him home by the holidays.
I will post any new info as it arrives.

I am in a similar situation. My husband , wich is a canadian citizen , sponsor me in march. 2004 .The Bucharest office reccive my appication on 19 april 2004 and beagin processing it in 4.05.2004 . I got no new answer and I am waiting for 5 month now . I don´t think that I will be able to go in Canada for the Christmas , so my husband is caming in Romania .

Hi ! Is anybody knows how long takes the family sponsorship to be finalized ?Approval of the sponsor-May ,2015 ,transfer to Bucharest June 2015(sponsoring a spouse )

From the moment you got your file transferred to Bucharest (June 2015), when you got that F000 xxx xxx assigned file number, it takes up 6 to 8 months to get your application finalized. Be ready to repeat the medicals and to pay the Visa fee (in case you haven´t done it yet, when you applied).

Hi everybody, Is anybody knows how long it takes to finalize the spousal sponsorship. I am sponsoring my husband from Syria.
Application to CIC on March 9/16.
AOR1 May 10/16.
SA March 20/16.
File transferred to Bucharest VO on March 21/16.
Online status, Both sides sponsor and applicant are in process April 6/16
and Medical result have been received under applicant side.

we got the first answer for the eligibility for my my wife to sponsor me on march and i am waiting for the PR application Status and i have no idea how long it will take and i would appreciate if some one will let me know how long it will take to get the final answer ???
