Our time line (husband and I, both PhD students, SW to Buffalo):

IA- Aug. 2004
Medicals- Sept 2004 (M01 for both of us, expired 24 days ago)
Add. Documents and RPRF Oct 2004
Last BFD was 13-09-2005 according to CAIPS,
Ordered a new CAIPS more then a month ago, waiting for some information from CIC, at least about the status of medicals- it will be good to know- will we need to have them again or not.
Email reply actually is a little different, but as we discussed it earlier (there are 3-4 standard answers): "We have requested background information from other government offices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot respond to requests for the status of your application before this information is received".

Oh my God, thats so shocking to hear, two years and still an international student, anyways wish you good luck. Hope you definitely get within this yearend.
Do you have any idea why it is so late? Have you worked in many countries? Which country are you from?

hi mountains,
I got a response from CIC,buffalo today saying that they received my ROLF. Now iam relieved, as from my CAIPS i thought they have lost the money order. Also for some reason they mentioned that my file will come up for final review in early 2006, eventhough i haven´t asked about the status of my case, since buffalo only send the message a month ago saying that " its in process , we cannot tell exactly when it will be finalized, but we will ask to submit passport and stuff once its approved".
Two contrasting replies. Anyways i think these are standard responses from buffalo, as too many people are now mailing them. i do not read too much into it.here is my timeline.

That´s a pity.
nothing seems to be wrong with us: lived in one country before Canada, do not have any criminal records, M01 medicals, my husband is finishing his second PhD.
I don´t know how much can I take it..... Almost no hope left.
Thank you for your good words, I really hope we´ll all get PR, and obviously, the sooner, the better.
