Subject: It is really frustrating NOW
Let me refresh you all about my application to be PR in Canada class (Spousal Sponsorship) I´d applied in December 10,2004 in vegerville and till now I did not hear anything from them except they changed my e-status that they had sent my file to local office on May 17,2005. We´d contacted our Local MP in June 2005 and he enquired from CIC and sent us a response that our file will take four months to get finalized. To my wonder last week we again contacted our Local MP and today we´d got a response from MP´s offcie that they are working on the file and CIC advised him to fillows after three months. What the hell is going on?? I am really frustrated. I can not work, can not help my wife to support our family, We can not think to make babies as it is very uncertain situation and more over sitting at home without any work is killing me everyday. I am a qaulified engineer and have a lots of job oportunities in my specializec field but to hell with CIC........and it;s policies. I can not go to my home country where I left my established business. My old aged Mother is waiting to see her son. Though I´d a multitiple entries Visa with me but my extension ( visitor record) saying that it is not good for re-entry. What should I do? any advise? should I write to Mr. Joe Volpe? What is their family re-unification policy? is it not a kind of discremiation as we belong to a third world country ? this is a really slow death and enough to punish a person married to a Canadain citizen in Canada. I am angry with my self why I applied from In side Canada as out side Canada is taking only three four months( New Delhi - India).

Hi R.K., I applied as Skilled Worker so I don´t have any idea how long is long when it comes to Spousal sponsorship...in skilled worker 10 months is nothing.

As I understand it...you are In-Canada and therefore with your wife, am I right?

Why don´t you focus on something positive. You are there with your wife...you can cheer each other up. You can strengthen each other. You can enjoy Canada together. Yes, you don´t have a job...YET....but you will...soon..Do not hurt yourself by thinking about the slow process...it is not like CIC is deliberately delaying your case...every case is really different. The more you dwell on the slow process the more you get frustrated. You can help your wife by doing chores while she works...that would be a great help if your pride won´t mind. At this point, we all have no choice but to wait. Let us all focus on the reward....QUALITY LIVING IN CANADA....goodluck to you and your wife.

RK, I´m sorry to hear of your troubles. The inland class seems to be a double-edged sword, the more I´m reading. The good part, as Joe pointed out is you get to be with your partner. On the other hand, an out-of Canada application may process quicker, but speaking from experience it kills me every day to be separated from my husband. It´s equally hard on my daughter, who loves him and doesn´t understand why he always has to leave after 4-day visits. This is our 2nd time through the process too as our first application was refused. I know, it´s VERY hard not to take personally.. like, someone at CIC is deliberately trying to ruin your life. I´ve come to take comfort in the thoughts that it´s not personal.. they are just a bunch of morons, lol.

I have no advice, unfortunately. I hope you can get some answers soon.

Dear Dhruv,

Thanks for your response. I would lik eto say ; at least you had some contact with CIC through an interview and here in Canada is nothing yet. At least you can earn or continuing your job in India, here in Canada by siting at home one has to be fully dependent on spouse even for small expenses like shaving cream etc. Though My wife is very loving and always support me both mentally and finacially but even than....how long one can wait? CIC at least authorize the aplicant to work in Canada while application in process. I even know speaking out my frustration in this forum can do nothing to CIC or Mr. Jo Volpe.....

Good luck
