Subject: How long until interview request? CIC Singapore |

Hi,
I´m sponsoring my wife from Vietnam. The office handling the application is Singapore. I faxed them in July. No answer. I faxed them again in September. A couple weeks later I get an airmail stating that they received my fax and that my wife is on the interview list. No date stated. They will contact us.
I keep hearing about AOR, IA, and other letters. I´ve only ever recieved a letter saying that I am able to sponsor my wife and the letter above.
Is this normal? How long can I expect to wait until the interview? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ECAS only says Processing April 11, 2005.

(in reply to: How long until interview request? CIC Singapore) You should wait at least 6 months from the date they received the file before even contacting them.
We didnt get any correspondence other than the sponsership qualification letter and then at one point they sent a letter to my wife in Cambodia asking for some additional documentation. The whole process took about 8 months from application to landing.
If they need to get in touch they will. It just the way it goes. Be patient.
