Hi Friends, please help me. I sponsored my wife on June 10th, 2005 and the file forwared to CHC New Delhi on July 5th. It is 3 months today and have not heard anything from them. Reading posts on this fourm indicates that it normally takes 6 weeks for them to make a decision. Please tell me what should i do. I tried calling them to get the status but then dont answer. I am lost. Please advice.

Amit,
I am shocked to hear this. Did u send fax/e-mal to CHC-Delhi asking your status ? if not then do it ASAP or get CAIPS file to see what´s going on in your case or if you in Canada then call CIC.This is really strange.
My sponsorship got approved on Sept 8th and same day file is sent to ND and they started processing on Sept 19th and send me PPR on Sept 26th. My wife send passport on Oct 3rd.

I am in Canada and did try calling them but they want us to either email or fax. i am emailing them today. TNIM, do you think CIC here will answer my query?

You can get CAIPS file from www.caips.ca by paiing $30 or you can get it by urself. Please look at the links below how to get CAIPS file.

Hello Amit...
I am not really sure what´s taking so long... My wife got the visa in less than 2 months from the date my application was sent to mississauga, and N.Delhi only took 28 days for everything from the date they started processing.

Also email me which documents did you send and a little bit brief detail on your case.
and yes, as TNIM has told you get the CAIPS for sure...
also every case is different, but you should have heard something atleast.
Did you try contacting CHC N.Delhi, you can visit their website and get theit contact info from:

Try emailing them at: delhi@international.gc.ca
or try calling them at: +91 (11) 5178-2000
Just mention your E-Client number and see what do they say.
The first letter that my wife received for Passport request was sent through a regular mail only, and you know how things work with postal mail backhome.
