Subject: Down Under or Up north
  Guys:
I am looking for a sincere advice. I really have not decided between Australia and Canada. I might have justified going to Oz in the previous post and got some people annoyed but for the last 9 years, I have lived in US and am familiar with the culture and landscape in US and Canada. Been to Toronto a couple of times as well as Montreal and Quebec city.
If there is someone from Canada and has lived in Oz or viceversa and can provide perpective on the economy, employment, integration into the society and stanadard of life, that would be great.

one advantage to Austrailia... they appear to qualify your credentials prior to issuing your residency permits. If you are a regulated profession, this would be advantageous.

I understand Oz to be slightly less tolerant, but very friendly.

One thing you might want to consider, they´re predicting severe droughts and unbearable heatspells there because of the climate changes.
