Hey Dude:
I see that you are Jan 2004 applicant too like me. You also used the term BF´D - dude I have yet to get my CAIPS notes and hence I donot know what my BF´D is. However I had got a mail response from Buffalo in April 2005 that my BG Check is in progress and shall take 6-9 months.
When did they begin your BG Check? I just have a strange feeling that my BF´D may be around yours and other Jan 2004 applicants. Our timeline have been moving almost similar.

Starwars, BF´D refers to bring forward date which means the file should be reviewed by an officer on this date (not sure if that will happen in my case).
Well, my bchk started in Nov 2004 and was completed in Aug this year. I got a message from CIC in mid Aug that my file will be placed for final review soon. My medicals have already expired but they said medical validity is already extended and I should not be worried about that.
As my BF´D is on 10-10-2005 (this Monday), I am expecting they will finalize my application now, at least.
