Hi Guys,
I found the following information that was posted on www.britishexpats.com
Question - Can you explain what the real meaning of this message is?
"Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006." from buffalo office.
Answer by Jim Humphries (who is an immigration consultant)-
It seems to mean that your application is complete but that Buffalo is keeping your case unfinished so that they can issue visas to applicants whose medicals will expire soon while holding to their visa targets.

(in reply to: Interesting information - Quota theory) This means, they are indeed closer to their yearly target (quota), hence the hold back?

(in reply to: Interesting information - Quota theory) They may be near their target quota BUT have not finished as yet.
If you visit the CIC Detroit website you will find that they have issued 97 passport request letters in September 2005. This number does inculde other immigration cases i.e. family class etc but the point is that they are issuing immigrant visa´s.

quota explanation (in reply to: Interesting information - Quota theory) Thanks for finding that Kenny, it helps make sense of what we are hearing. So under this theory, folks whose medicals have just expired or will expire soon can expect a PPR, but folks who have time left on the medicals will wait for 2006. Let´s see how the facts play out.
