Subject: is this job an arranged employment? |

Hi, everybody:
I have learned a lot from this forum. Thanks for everybody´s input. I have a few questions regarding arranged employment. Does a
post-doctoral fellow position (1 to 2 years appointment) in a Canadian university qualify as an arranged employment? If it does, do I need to have an HRSDC confirmation for this job? As far as I know, a postdoctoral position is exempted from the HRSDC confirmation when applying for a work permit. Also, is there any restriction on when an arranged employment is offered? Does the offer have to be made before I file Canadian PR application or after or it does not matter? Thanks a lot for your information!

(in reply to: is this job an arranged employment?) post-graduated work permit doesn´t not need HRSDC skill confirmation

ask again about arranged employment (in reply to: is this job an arranged employment?) Thank you, my friend! I have filed an application for Canadian PR and there is no result so far. I just got an offer of a post-doctoral position from a Canadian university. The position is good for only one year but may be extended depending on funding situation. I hope this will bring me the 10 points awarded for arranged employment. Could you tell me if this job qualify as an arranged employment and if I can get the 10 points? Thank you very much for your information!

(in reply to: is this job an arranged employment?) I don´t think you qualify for those 10 points. However, you will get 5 points for canadian work exp. If you have done Phd from canada, I think you should be able to make required 67 assuming high english proficiency
