Subject: Immigration to Quebec
  hi

i would like some help, i plan to immigrate to quebec, i am a UK citizen and will apply to the paris office, however i will be going to canada and staying in ontario with my fiancee for about 4 months, is it possible that i apply from within canada itself, as i do not need a visa to enter with a UK passport, and i can stay for upto 6 months,

is there anyone else that has applied for a Certificat de s?lection du Qu?bec from the paris office, and how long does it take roughly

i would appreciate any information,

HaMa

I do not believe you need a visa as a UK citizen (everyone... please correct me if I am wrong). So why not come, marry your fiance, and let your partner sponsor you. Why Quebec? I do not think you can go through Paris...unless you are from one of their prescribed countries. I think you are making life hard for yourself!

Hi HaMa, the line i stated here is for Quebec Immigration Services.
Yes it shall be PARIS Office that will deal and process your application for immigration but I think for sure you need to speack FRENCH language as well.
if you speack french I think it is better for you to check this WEBSITE - www.forum.immigrer.com
it is on french only and they discuss Quebec Immigration matters it is very good site where you can find alot of answers for any questions.
from what I knew I think you should submit your application to Paris Office then you can go to Canada and spend some time there with your fiace, but you will need an active mail in UK because they will contact you through that address(but Iam not sure about this) .
please try to check the Websites I gave here.

Any other questions I will be glade to answer.

hi

thanks for the replies,
i do not want to go the route of marrying my fiancee yet, as it will be more complicated for both of us, i have been told by some people i can apply to quebec and the process could take about 9 months or so,
my french is not good, i have been told that this is not a necessaty, but is very helpful,

if i am already in canada, could i apply locally?
