Hi Friends,
I landed last night by air to Canada(Halifax). My immigration process is complete and as per the VISA on the passport, I had to land before December 5th 2005. But at the Immigration counter, the Officer asked me about the rest of the paperwork besides my passport.
He said that I should have received another letter in mail that is required at the time of landing. I don´t remember receiving any such letter. All I have is my passport with the VISA stamped. I had applied through the US Buffalo office.
He finally gave me a temporary visa to stay in Canada for a week.
I don´t know how to find that letter now.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH SUGGESTIONS!!!!!

You should have received a Confirmation of Permanent Residence form (IMM 5292) at the same time you received your passport with the visa stamp. You are supposed to bring this form with you when you land. If you didn´t receive it, you should contact Buffalo immediately and explain your situation.

I didn´t receive such critical document with my passport. How should I contact Buffalo Office being in Canada ?
Is there any number I can call or do I have to visit them personally?
I appreciate the suggestions.

Since you are in Canada, you can contact CIC call center at
information on citizenship and immigration 1 888 242-2100
Information on the Permanent Resident Card 1 800 255-4541
contact them immidiately and inform then about your situation.

you should contact Buffalo ASAP, your immigration process is not yet complete, and you are not yet a canadia PR, I would suggest calling Buffalo or faxing them and explaining the situation they may send you this form if they have not yet done so, and its worthy to check the mail of your mailing address, in case they sent it later.

Your immigration process is completed 100% but they forget to send you COPR (IMM 5292) you can call them and give your reference number or file number.Reference number start with TXXXXXXX you can find on your visa and it is the same number you get on COPR.

I called the CIC Call center today (they were closed for the past 3 days). The lady told me that the fastest way to do it would be to go to Buffalo Canadian consulate in Person. She said they can make the Certified copy of the COPR right away and then I can reenter again.
Does anyone see any problem ??
