I am in process of sending application to Buffalo for PR of Canada
( skilled worker Category).the guidelines say fee of CAD 550.Do I need to pay in canadian dollars or is there any fixed amt in USD that I can pay.I am applying from USA.thanks in advance

You make a payment in Canadian dollars and the bank will automatically convert how much it is in US dollars.

When I paid, I asked my bank that I needed a Demand Draft in Canadian Dollars....so they issued a Demanad Draft in CIC´s favor (verify the payee) in Canadian Dollars. They deducted the amount in my account in US dollars. Just go and tell you banker and he/she should know what to do.

You can pay in US dollars or Canadian dollars. Please visit the website of CIC Buffalo(mentioned below) to get detailed information of fee payment. They have mentioned the fee in US$ as well as CA$.
Fee is - 465 US$ or 550 CA$

Dear sir,
I am a Bangladeshi national planning to apply for PR in canada under skilled worker category. I have calcaulated my application fees in CND. Could you please inform me of the following queries?
1. I will send the application and fee by DHL or Fedex. What is the address I must write on the envelope?
2. I will make a draft of 1250 CND from a Bangladeshi bank. Who will be the recipient of the draft? In other words, the draft will be payable to whom?

I dont think so there is any fee to be paid to NS Govt. However, the fee for Federal Govt (CIC) will remain same. Pls review the below link for further assistance.

hi, i am vishal. i applied canada for FSW to cio and receive a positive reply i got my file no.
My question is that when i applied to cio i have paid $550 CAD processing fees.
i got confirmation from cio and submitt my application to indias canadian embessay then again i have to pay processing fees. any one help me how much fees i have to pay & hear that this fees is not refundable.

the fee is not refundable. APPLICATION FEE. You are paying for someone to look at your file. If you are accepted, there will be landing fees and your cost of a medical exam.
