Who knows what does it mean in CAIPS:
rec´d request for a hard copy of the imm8 for pi
sent via scan/email?
Does anybody have the same line in your CAIPS and is it a good or
a bad sign?
Thanx.
to students in Canada-some information:
we got CAIPS recently (Oct. 03, 2005), nothing changed really, besides they updated some information we sent them.
BF´d still shows 13-09-2005 as it used to be before (3-4 months ago).
AOR Nov. 2003
Med Sept. 2004 (M01, expired a month ago). Nothing about this is mentioned in CAIPS.
waiting........

I assume that if the BFD doesnt move, then the case is finalised. or otherwise a future BFD indicates something still is pending and needs time. Approximate time is the alloted by the visa officer thru BFD dates.

Correct me if im wrong, its my asummption anyway

That´s why it´s strange - it´s not finilized- it shows zeros for for med., sec. dec. and other decisions, except selection decision which is 4. May be they did not update BF´d yet?
e-client: "we started........nov. 2003"
I don´t know what to think....

I came across couple of cases in the past where there were no new BF´Ds - it was a little strange for me. Your case is one more example.

If you have not received any letter for redoing your medicals, I hope they have extended your medicals validity and your case would be finalized soon.

BTW, what is date against the following activity:

rec?d request for a hard copy of the imm8 for pi
sent via scan/email?

do you have the same line in your caips?
And Kool, can you, please, remind me what exactly did you write in your enquiry e-mail to Buffalo?
Thanx.

No, I don´t have such entries in my caips.

The request was:

Dear Immigration Officer,

This has reference to our immigration application (File # XXX) which is in process at CIC, Buffalo since January 2004.

As I will be graduating (PhD in XXX from University of XXX) by December this year, we are anxiously waiting for our immigration papers. Being a non-immigrant, I am not eligible to apply for many jobs where only permanent residents (or citizens) of Canada are eligible to apply. We will highly appreciate your efforts for considering our situation and providing us an update on status of our application.

Kool I used the same type of email like yours above, similar but I got the same "inprogres" blah blah.

In my letter I politely indicated how important PR was to me especially when I could not take jobs because of PR status.
