Subject: Buffalo e-mail update - so frustrating
  Friends,

As I had my BF´D on 10-10-2005, I sent an email to Buffalo yesterday to find out the current status of my application. The reply that I got today says the following:

Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006.

Now I am also pretty much convinced that Buffalo might have reached their quota for this year.

Just to remind you that I got a message from Buffalo in mid Aug that my file will be placed for final review soon and on Aug 29 my e-cas changed to medicals received.

I can understand your frustration. Let´s just hope that your file will be reviewed on Jan 2nd and you´ll get your PPR soon after. Hang in there, atleast you know for sure when your file is going to reviewed. We haven´t even received our IAs yet.

Hang in there, at least now you can stop worrying and wait for the PPR to appear in your mail box in Jan 2006. :D

hey Kool,

The same thing has happened to me, both types of email responses I have got from them. But as SG1 said, just hang on, don´t count on emails, and give us some good news shortly. Can you post your timeline?

If it had been quota problem, they wouldn´t have given BFD this year coz it was assigned around the middle of this year for you.(Even though it is automatically generated), so have some hope man.

My Timeline is:
In-Canada applicant
CIC-Buffalo
June ´04 applied
July ´04 AOR
Apr ´05 IA
Documents reached Buffalo June ´05
Medicals reached Ottawa June ´05
PP request----Waiting

Just submitted my application 3 weeks ago, received AOR 2 days ago. I´m assuming a wait period of 100 weeks and my current count is "3 DOWN 97 to GO"
and yeyyy, it will be 4 in just 2 days.....

start your count with 12 :)

To all my canada student Friends,( kool, sorry I just cut and paste your message and modified it) hope you dont mind, i am in a hurry

I sent an email to Buffalo yesterday to find out the current status of my application. The reply that I got today says the following:

Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006.

And what early 2006 means? Jan - June 2006!! Its not fair. So many companies need skilled workers having Canadain degrees but everything is useless without PR.

My Timeline is:
In-Canada applicant
CIC-Buffalo
June ?04 applied
July ?04 AOR
Feb ?05 IA
Documents reached Buffalo March ?05
Medicals reached Buffalo April ?05
PP request----Waiting

Anyways " ECLIENT CHECK IS BOGUS for incanada people"
Getting CAIPS is useless, it increases hopes and then destroyes them. Sorry to be sad like this, but I need to vent out innocently.

I dont understand the quota theory when then are so many US based applicants who got it instantly ( 1 year)with my timeline

i got the same e-mail message.

Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006.

In worst case, at lease, it hope what they said is true so that I got PPR on June 30, 2006.

Can I sue them for false inforamtion if I do not get it by Jun2 30, 2006?
