When did u get the request letter to submit your Passport.Can you let me know please. And also did u went personally for Stamping and if so whts the procedure.

I received my letter to submit passport on Oct 13th 05 by mail, it was dated Oct 4 05.
You have 60 day to get the stamping done for the date of the letter.
Please note when you go for interview first they will call you to a window and verify all your documents and ask if you will personally come to get the passport stamped or you will send the same by mail. They will ask if your address is correct and should they send all further correspondence to you or to your lawyer / consultant.
This person at the window will not take your interview, Once he is done you will be asked to seat and wait for your # to be called for interview.
Yes I went personally to get the stamping.
I NY they Stamp immigrant visa only on Thursday´s. You have to go between 8.30 AM to 10.30 AM and you get the passport between 1.30PM to 4.30PM.
I went there and got a token # and was ask to be seated till they call my #. When they called my # I have to go to that particular window and give the token #, letter I received for stamping, passports and four photos for each family member. Lady at the window took everything gave the token # back and ask me to come bank a 2.00 PM.
At 2 PM wait again for my # to be called, when called went to that particular window she handed back an envelope with our passports stamped, other landing papers and guide to settle in Canada.
