Subject: Shortest Time
I´ve read alot of posts about how long it takes from start (application) to finish (receiving PR status), but was curious of examples of how short it has taken? Anyone with what she or he considers to be a short time, I´d like to hear about your process. Thanks.

there are cases that took only 2 months, but usually not the normal skilled workers, its either family class or PNP classes.

Thanks. I was wondering about those who had applied as Skilled Workers. I have heard again and again about how long it takes (with plenty of examples in this excellent forum) and was wondering about the cases at the other end of the distribution--cases in which a Skilled Worker experienced a very short waiting time. Any examples would be much appreciated.

some offices are quicker than others, due to many factors but mainly number of applications received, most major offices are now slow (2+ and up to 5 years) but examples of fast offices are Vienna, Sydney and some offices in south america.
I remember in the year 2000 when buffalo used to take 7 months to complete skilled worker cases.

Buffalo-skilled worker- how much time. (in reply to: Shortest Time)
In addition, I am also curious to know the % of people for whom the interview has been waived. Pl. share your experiences like interview for 1 out of 5 is waived & so on.

if you think you are going to statistically figure out which way to go and what your odds are for interview waiver etc, forget it. every embassy is different and every situation is different. you are talking to 100 applicants out of 230,000. not good data!

base your information on stats from CIC. if they say 4 years, you can be pretty sure it will be 4 years. Everything you want to know is already in the CIC website. That is the best and most accurate information you are going to find.
