Subject: permanent resident
ived looked at the CIC website but couldnt find what i was looking for
my friend is currenty on a temporary resident visa and a student permit, shes been here about 3 1/2 years so i assumed she got her visa extended. Now she wants to apply for PR but unsure if shes elligable. From my understanding she should of applied for PR when applying for the visa. Im just curious to what she should do. also if she applies for the PR, would she have to wait another 3 years to be eligable for one?

in order to be eligable she needs to score at least 67 points (see cic web site) and she needs at least 1 year experience, other than that it does not matter where she lives, in canada or not it does not make any difference from the eligability point of view, it only makes a choice to apply to Buffalo visa office.
Good luck
