Subject: help - can't find answer to this question
  Hello,

First time here. I´ve been searching web for answer to this question without much luck. How long can I wait before going to Canada after COPR is received? i.e. Will the COPR expire if the applicant does not enter Canada within a certain period of time? Thanks very much for your time,

You must have also received your immigrant visa stamped on your passport. You will have to enter Canada before the expiry of the visa.

visa expires normally when medicals expire, which is 1 year from the actual medical test date.

The paper work will give you the exact time by which you must arrive in Canada. Otherwise the PR status expires and you will have to start the process all over.
