My friend will be emailing my PR card from canada to US.Which postal service is advisable so that he can post it.

puroletter , DHL or FEDEX only with a traking no. dont choose any kind of postal service without providing a traking no.

I sent my brother his passport from Toronto in the regular mail and he received, but it´s a risk, as steve said you can use one of the services that provide a tracking number.
You can use Expresspost from Canada for about CA$12.00 the mail will arrive between 5-7 business days. Interestingly, the regular mail which cost me $3.00 arrived w/i 4 days.
