Hi All
My time lin is
Started procesing : June 2004
Sent Medicals : Feb , 2005
Letter from CIC to pay RPRF : May, 2005
Sent RPRF : May 2005
So I was sending emails to CIC and it said
"Please be advised that your application is in process, however we are unable to provide an exact date when a final decision will be made."
But this week the reply changed to
"Your application for permanent residence will be reviewed for finalization early 2006."
Any ideas / suggestions as why it is taking so long?

I´m applying PR form London. I sent email for my case status and they replied me as following,
A LETTER WAS SENT TO YOU THIS WEEK - YOU SHOULD BE IN RECEIPT SHORTLY.
That´s all. I´m worry about that indeed.

skilled worker...that is just a generic response that is coming from CIC, as everyone is receiving them. The big problem lies in next year, when the pre 2002 cases...136,000 of them...are to be given priority and processed. I believe half of them need to be completed for 2006, and then the rest of them in 2007 and 2008. There is speculation that it will further delay many of us waiting for PPR. The only hope going on now, is that they raise the yearly quota.

sounds really disappointed, it´s been 2 years already as we applied (Oct. 2003), and I´m wondering- how much more time can it take to get PR, seems it will take forever. :(

It´s a more difficult for those in-Canada applicants cuz now they have to keep on extending their work/study permits. Let´s all hope they will either raise the quota temporarily, or they don´t have lots of old cases.
