Hi all,
Can anyone tell what is minimum proof of fund required to show to immigration office at port of landing. If i carry 9950CAD will this be ok? Is there any minimum which must be shown.
Is it also true that Family class(spouse) need not to show proof of fund and may carry even less than 5000CAD?

That´s what I am wondering to know too, how come you could take so much cash with you and at port of entry you have to show officer, I could tell them, I have money in my account, once I will have opend bank account in canada, I will transfer(wire) money in my canadian account.

i think the minimum is $10,000 for one person n not sure abt the family class. u can carry travelers cheques

I hv heard u need to declare if u carry 10000 or greater in travellers cheque or cash. So interested to know what minimum need to carry ?
Also if anyone else give some idea abt Family class requirements..

Lets say if you declared $25,000, it doesn´t mean you have to take $25,000 same time, I beleive at port of entry you could say you will transfer money any time.

Family class members do not need proof of founds since they have been sponsored.
