Subject: File tranfered to Delhi |

Greetings to you all.
I had applied for Canadian PR at Buffalo Service Centre in Sept 2001 and due to circumstances I had to move to India in Sept 2003. Meanwhile, Canadian Consulate in Detroit had called for an interview in January 2oo4. As I was unable to attend the interview for want of US visa, I had requested for a file transfer to New Delhi, which was accepted and transfered in March 2004. Now, my question is, will my file be treated as a fresh application in Delhi or will they be kind enough to consider it as an application of September 2001.
Incase, if they treat it as a new case in Delhi, what is the time it is likely to take for decision. Is their a way to convince them to consider the file of Sept 2001, are there any chances for the Delhi Consulate to oblige to my request.
My sincere thanks in advance for all the advises and replies to this query.

(in reply to: File tranfered to Delhi) It technically should be an old case unless there were some other instructions/notes on the file that calls for consideration as a new case. Good luck.

(in reply to: File tranfered to Delhi) Hi,
Technically, file will be considered as old, but will be last in the line. Meaning, as far as time is concerned, it will take the same time what new files take.
