Subject: Have IM1- expires Dec 1, want to move in June 2006

I have got my IM-1 visa whcih expires on Dec 1 2005. I want to exercise before that date obviously but I only plan to be in Canada for one week to do so. I plan to move with the family in June 2006.
When will I become a Canadian resident for tax purposes ?.
