Subject: Will CAIPS affect the process
  Hello everyone,

I am a Feb 2004 Buffalo applicant who delayed my own application because of the birth of baby by about 10 months. Now i sent all the medicals of the entire family in August 2005. It seems medicals has been received and i got an email saying "Your application will be reviewed for finalization in early 2006"
My interview was waived and they did not ask me for IELTS either. I have 2 masters degrees from the US.
I am wondering if i should get the CAIPS notes now. Will asking for CAIPS affect the time process. Will CIC wonder why i am asking for CAIPS.
Also there is an option to download your own CAIPS file instead of waiting for them to mail it to you. Has anyone tried this option.
Please advice.
Thank you

Hi Anonymous,

Based on the website of caipsnotes.com, requesting for it will not delay your process. I think it´s pretty believable because caips notes are generated from the main CIC office in Ottawa...it does not come from the CIC processing office.

When I first requested my caipsnotes I chose the downloadable form because I want to see the report as soon as possible. I just printed it so I can have the hardcopy. It´s reliable and faster by few days because no delivery needed. :)

I used caipsnotes.com...very efficient. I also used their downloading services. Quick and efficient.

I do not believe ordering caips affect the processing. Just don´t all the complete printed file...for that ottawa office has to physically request your visa post to make a photocopy.
